Environment – Mundaring Sporting Club Inc

In 2014 Mundaring Golf has used a Department of Sports and Recreation Grant, to implement a Soil Conservation Strategy, to improve the course, through contour banking to mitigate soil loss and promote nutrient retention. The results are beginning to show in improved fairway coverage. Mundaring Golf implemented an Environmental Management Policy in 2014 to provide a mechanism through which the environmental and social values of the Mundaring Golf Course are protected, managed and enhanced.

These values include:             

The provision of wildlife habitat 

The preservation of open space and remnant vegetation in an urban environment

The promotion of physical and mental well being through recreation

The conservation of indigenous flora and Fauna

The utilisation of stormwater runoff
